FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MUSKEGON WOMAN ON HUNGER FAST TO THE DEATH

Muskegon, Michigan, March 7, 2003. Rose Lear is in the third day of a hunger fast. She said she will not eat again, with the exception of holy communion, until she dies or until the federal government agrees to answer certain questions about the origin and operation of the federal income tax system.

"What else can I do?" said Lear. "I have tried everything else. Congressman Hoekstra and State Senator VanWoerkom refuse to answer the questions. The IRS and the U.S. Department of Justice refuse to answer the questions. Attorneys are afraid to raise the questions in court for fear of being sanctioned or disbarred. Federal Judge Quist refuses to even allow the questions to be raised in his courtroom."

"More and more people are learning about the legal evidence but are being abused by the courts, which appear to be in collusion with the IRS. Something is going terribly wrong with the justice system in America. We need to get to the truth."

Rose Lear and her husband William Wallace Lear will hold three press conferences on Monday, March 10, 2003. The first will be at 10 AM in Muskegon, Michigan at the Muskegon Harbor Holiday Inn, 939 Third Street (231-722-0100). The second will be at 6:30 PM in Minneapolis at the Holiday Inn, I-494, Exit 3 (12th Ave and Portland Ave) 814 East 79th St, Bloomington, Minnesota (952-854-5558). The third will be at 11:00 PM outside the gate of the Federal prison in Duluth, Minnesota, 6902 Airport Road. (218-722-8634).

At the press conference the Lears will detail how questioning the laws of the United States has lead to the events leading to the point where Rose Lear has now put her life on the line to force official responses to questions involving the income tax laws of the US.

Copies of the questions she wants answered will be available at the press conference.

Rose Lear is 53 years old. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has placed a large sign in the picture window of her home, which reads:

"Congressman Hoekstra:
No Answers - No Taxes - No Food"
