-----Original Message----- Sallie,
As
you know, I called you last week and requested a meeting with
Congressman Bartlett. You said Monday and Tuesday of this week were out
of the question due to his heavy schedule. You said Wednesday (today)
was a possibility, but that you would have to ask Congressman Bartlett
if he would meet with me. I
was hoping for the opportunity to discuss with Congressman Bartlett what
seems to me to have been a dreadful misunderstanding and
miscommunication. As
of last night I had not heard back from you. Therefore, I assumed
Congressman Bartlett’s schedule would not allow the meeting to take
place anytime soon. Unfortunately,
with what appears to be thousands of people waiting for my response to
Congressman Bartlett’s letter to me, which was dated January 17 (and
which was publicly released on January 17, along with a press release),
I could not wait any longer to publicly release my written response. I
found I had to do so last night. Attached
to this message is a copy of my letter to Congressman Bartlett. I will
travel to DC to hand deliver the original. I deeply regret the fact that
I was not able to discuss the matter with Congressman Bartlett before
writing the letter and the fact that I was not able to deliver the
letter to Congressman Bartlett before releasing it to the public. My
sadness and disappointment in the recent turn of events goes to a vast
and immeasurable depth. Words just cannot express the amount by which I
believe the cost of DOJ’s and IRS’s failure to honor their contract
with the People will exceed any benefits they may have expected from
reneging on their agreement with Congressman Bartlett and, through him,
the People. I
can only imagine the conflict Congressman Bartlett was feeling in his
heart these past few months, knowing that both DOJ and IRS had reneged
on their commitment and at the same time knowing that he, and he alone
would be facing a growing number of Americans who were not only looking
forward to the February meeting but to having questions answered
relating to the fraudulent jurisdiction of the IRS and the illegal
income tax system – questions that Congressman Bartlett would not, in
all probability, be able to answer. As
my letter to Congressman Bartlett suggests, I sincerely hope he will at
least meet with me and, hopefully, reconsider his decision. With
warm regards, Bob
