Legality of Income Tax Conference
June 29, 2000

Thank you, Charles. And "thank you" to all our speakers today. I just can't tell you how gratified I am personally, and on behalf of the We The People Foundation, that such an array of speakers accepted our invitations to come to this conference. As you know, it was originally supposed to be a debate between a handful of individuals representing the government vs. the researchers or accusers. We had to change the format when it became clear in the first week of June that the government was reneging on its agreement to participate. We asked the question out on the Internet as to what we should do, i.e., should we cancel the whole thing or press on, taking a different tack? The response was also gratifying, and very decisive: The people said, "Press On." Most of you know that since last summer the Foundation has been maintaining e-Groups at our web site for the purpose of carrying on debates and discussions and sharing of information on income tax issues.

We told everyone we wouldn't be able to accomplish much without a team effort. We asked for ideas on how to proceed post-conference. That resulted in a great many suggestions, some of which I'll mention here. How well any or all of these tasks may get accomplished depends on who and how many people step forward to work on them. We'll pursue the organization of these tasks largely from our web site and via e-mail.

Remember that we are dealing with an enormous question here: What do a free people do when their government disobeys the Constitution that is supposed to control and restrict it? The Constitution is the will of the people; and the people are sovereign, not the government. And when the courts abdicate their Constitutional responsibility and duty to keep the other two branches in line, the problem is compounded to the ultimate.

Well, here are some potential future actions that can be undertaken:

Launch a large-scale educational campaign about these income tax issues, using all modes of media that we can put at our disposal, with a goal of reaching and teaching many millions of Americans about the income tax fraud. Thanks to two individuals who have stepped forward, this task will get underway next Friday with a full-page ad in USA Today.

Undertake a massive campaign of calling our Congress-Critters, our Senators and Representatives, using the 800-numbers that are available.

Get many more signatures on the Remonstrance for another future submission to our governmental officials.

Get on as much talk-radio as possible. We will try to compile a list of talk-radio shows and telephone numbers.

Get copies of the videos of our conferences onto public access TV, as well as a video of a sequel to the conferences in which a summary of what has happened is explained. Also make videos on the income tax subject in an Internet-compatible format, so they can be viewed over the Internet.

Seek meetings with Senators and Representatives, either one-on-one or in small groups, in order to educate them on the importance of this issue, and on the enormity of the fraud that it encompasses.

Set up a team of experts to act as consultants in willful failure-to-file or tax evasion cases. Prepare to sue IRS agents in their individual capacities.

Prepare flyers that can be distributed universally to clubs, Chambers of commerce, and other organizations.

Unite with other groups that are fighting other aspects of governmental tyranny: e.g., 2nd amendment, 4th amendment, 5th amendment groups. An act of tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.

Devvy Kidd has talked about state court challenges to nullify and void the illegal ratifications that occurred in many states.

One of my favorites is the idea of creating a Blue Ribbon Panel of experts to consider all the allegations and report on them.
