APRIL 13th: BE THERE!

Mark your calendar. April 13, 2000. Event: a gathering of people power to deliver the Citizens' Remonstrance to End the Illegal Operations of the IRS to the leaders of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches.

The free people are faced with a problem. Evidence points to an unconstitutional income tax and unlawful operations of the IRS. The evidence is compelling. It has been developed by well-qualified professionals over many years. These professionals have been assailed from time to time by an angry and recalcitrant government. They have been largely isolated and alone. It is now time to put an end to that.

We (the people) have put our heads together and the matter has taken on a political character. In July there was the academic symposium at which time severely critical revelations were made and we saw first hand the wilfull recalcitrance of a challenged government. The decision was made to press on. A second, more action-oriented Washington meeting was scheduled for the fall to formalize the grievances in a Remonstrance and to agree on next steps.

At the fall meeting on November 13, 1999, the Remonstrance, as a strongly worded statement of grievances, was not only signed, it was agreed that it would be formally delivered to the heads of the three branches of the federal government in April of the year 2000.

The main ballroom at the National Press Club has been reserved for We (the people's) April meeting, which is now scheduled for April 13, 2000.

Here is the plan. A delegation of two or more (preferable many more) ordinary, non-aligned, Citizen-taxpayers from each state will gather with other delegations from other states in the ballroom of the National Press Club between the hours of 8 am and 11 am on April 13th to review the projected events of the day, to go over any last minute news and instructions, to meet many of the heros of the movement and to otherwise prepare for the events of the day. At 11:00 am, massed delegations will proceed to the White House, and then to the Capitol, and then to the Supreme Court building to deliver four original copies of the Remonstrance, and to meet with President Clinton, Senator Lott, Speaker Hastert and Chief Justice Rehnquist should they have reacted favorably to an earlier request to receive a delegation from We (the people) of America. The requests are now being framed and will be made to the appropriate parties within the next few weeks.

In addition to the delegations, wholesale participation is being encouraged to insure a broad representation of people from all walks of life, irrespective of race, creed, color, economic station or sexual orientation. People are encouraged to organize busloads of interested Citizens to appear in Washington in support of the delegation and the Remonstrance.

This is the people's opportunity to speak and to make their voices heard and, we hope, to confront our governmental leaders face-to-face.
