Education :
Graduated HS, Paonia ColoradoMesa State CollegeSelf Educated in the principles of Constitutional law. After I graduated from Paonia high I attended Mesa State for one year. Over the next forty years, when I had time, I also studied about socialism, communism, our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence, and what I understand now is none of those isms can legally be practiced in our Constitutional Republic where the People are Sovereign over the politicians and government. And I believe it is time to put the Sovereignty back where it belongs, In We The People.
Profession :
My occupations have been heavy equipment operator, cowboy & ranch hand, coal miner, logger & sawmill operator, trucker driver, and my last job was in the oilfield which ended when the Democrat's took over in the last election.
Personal Statement :
When I was a junior in high school I became interested in how someheartless lunatic like Adolf Hitler got complete control of basically ademocratically ran nation like Germany. The more I studied some of myteachers began to take notice of how much I knew about Nazism, AdolfHitler, and World War 2, so my world history teacher asked me to do abook report on Hitler. I went to the school library and found a book Ihadn't already read entitled "The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich."  By the time I had finished the bookreport I understood how Hitler maneuvered his way in to completecontrol of Germany.  I understood at that point what to watch for. Isee the same maneuvering going on by our politicians to get around thebinds the Constitution puts on them. Thank You for your considerationGary Coats Delta County Coordinator

Personal Statement :
As your delegate at CC2009, I commit to the citizens of Colorado to bring my skills as a professional group facilitator and communicator to deliver a unified strategic plan that will be presented to the several states that will force the United States of America Inc. to return to its constitutionally lawful form.Having well researched the issues facing our nation today, I am well aware that there will be a variety of ways to reach the same outcome.  My expertise is in determining an accurate understanding between people, and assisting them in coming to an agreement.  At stake is nothing less than saving and restoring our constitutional republic.Ultimately, the line will be drawn in the sand.  I pray for a peaceful result, but recognize that our second amendment rights may have to be made manifest to achieve enforcement.  If that happens, it will be them that leaves no other choice, not We The People.I am willing to put it on the line for today, tomorrow, and for future generations.

Colorado Delegate Kevin Donald Tebedo
Residence : Colorado Springs , CO
Age : 51

Education :
Bachelors Degree: Human Resource Management, Colorado Christian UniversityAssociate Degree; Polie Science, Pikes Peak Community College
Profession :
Occupation: Entrepreneur; marketing and public relations and public speaking.  Kevin is a native Coloradoan who makes his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. CFV was a grass–roots organization for amending the Colorado State Constitution through the petition process. The group amended the Colorado State Constitution to disallow homosexuality from being considered a protected class. The case eventually ended in the United States Supreme Court, where it was struck down, in the land mark decision of Romer v. Evans.
Personal Statement :
Should I be chosen to represent Colorado to the 2009 Continental Congress, I will approach the issues of law and politics from the point of view of a strict constructionist of the Constitution of the United States. I am beholding to the Christian World view – which must include law and politics. While I believe that America, and the system of law it employs, is a blessing from All Mighty God and in concert with the Christian World view, I do not believe that this system deserves our "worship". If we look to freedom, liberty and the Constitution for such "things", such as peace, wisdom and salvation, which only our Creator can provide, these things then become our idols. The Lord says “I will have no other God’s before me.” The single most important action our nation can take to restore the blessings of liberty is to humble ourselves before the face of God and call on Him to renew our hearts, minds and motives. From this platform we must approach the men who lead our nation – tyrant and freedom fighter alike. If I am selected, I intend to carry the following three principles on behalf of my fellow Americans in Colorado. First, the Constitution of the United States of America contains all of the necessary tools and foundations for the proper and effective governance of our nation. The federal government must be held to the balance of powers, and the delegated authority and restrictions of the Constitution. When a Constitutional value is unclear, the interpretation must give greater emphasis to individual freedoms than collective demands. Second, the power to achieve item one resides in the states and the people of the state. As long as the states demand, allow and beg for largess from federal coffers, they give the federal government more power and jurisdiction than would be constitutionally allowed if the money were not accepted. To be free of federal control is to refuse bribes. Third, the ability to achieve items two and one is directly related to the individual person refusing government benefits in his/her personal life. I do not refer to inalienable rights but rather benefits with jurisdictional strings attached. You have the right to own property, say, in the form of an automobile, but it is a benefit to receive $4,500.00 from the federal government to help pay for it. One is your God-given right and liberty, the other is control in the form of a bribe. Not until we Americans stop insisting that government, in all of its forms, provide benefits for which we did not work or truly earn with production, will we be free of government control of our lives.

Reading and Discussing the Articles of Freedom
The Articles of Freedom, the work product of the Continental Congress 2009, have been released!

What are they? What significance do they have? Why should all Americans be interested in the Continental Congress and these Articles? Are they mere ceremonial window dressing, or are they Historical?

Over the coming months, on Tuesday Nights from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, we will be reading and discussing the Articles of Freedom, one by one, on our We the People Congress Colorado Conference Call accessible on the Internet by going to www.talkshoe.com and entering code number 12147 into the navigation window.

You can also call into the call by dialing (724)444-7444 and entering 12147# and then 1#.

If you miss a call, they are being recorded so you can catch up. The calls will even be made available for downloading. If you are on our mailing list, an invitation will be sent to you with an access link you need only click on to arrive in the call chat room. This link will also take you to previous recordings.

This month we plan to cover the first two articles and begin tackling the Third. On Tuesday January 5, 2009, we will be introducing the Preface, the Opening Prayer to the Continental Congress that now adorns the Articles of Freedom, as well as a reading of the Declaration and Resolves of Continental Congress 2009. Finally, the 1st part of Article 1 on Sovereignty will be read, after which time we will have a discussion on the principles of Article I, followed by a Questions and Answer period.

It is our intention to be finished with the reading general, discussion, and question/answer period by 9:00, after which time further discussion may ensue. The call will be recorded and made available at wtpcc.com so that if anyone desires to listen to the recording or share it with their friends, they will have immediate access.

On Tuesday January 12, we will be finishing Article I, discussing the remedial instructions recommended by the Continental Congress.

On Tuesday, January 19, we will discuss Article II, which concerns Constitutional Laws and the Declaration of Independence.

On Tuesday January 26, we will begin our discussion on Article III pertaining to the First Amendment to the Federal Constitution and particularly Petitions for Redress of Grievances. Because this article is quite substantial, our conversation will undoubtedly take us into the month of February.

Silent War, Overcoming Factions, Embargo as a Means to Victory
http://www.infowars.com/images/free-die.jpg

Although the Missouri billboard appears to threaten violence, we must come to realize that not only is violence not requisite for war, but that America is already embroiled in war. This is a fact to which we must awaken, a fact we must comprehend and embrace. The billboard strategy expresses retaliation. I stand and say bravo, it’s about time, and I applaud the engagement! It is when those entrusted with power fear the people that we live in freedom!

America is already at war, a war unlike any war with which most are accustomed. Being oblivious to or in denial of this stealthful, quiet war, Americans have failed to comprehend the travesty of our enemy’s subtle, invisible weaponry. This failure is the reason America’s enemy, having deeply infiltrated within our borders via a virtual Trojan Horse, has yet to be revealed.

Even those to whom it has been revealed have been more disposed to suffer as evils have been sufferable. Overall, We, the People, have been more prone to tolerate the assaults on our freedom than to right ourselves by abolishing all forms of religious, economic, and governmental constructs to which we have grown accustomed. The bottom line is: we have been had. We are being seduced. We have been made comfortable in a war while the noose has been lowered and tightened around our neck.

We are suffering from “Stockholm syndrome,” unquestioningly accepting the intoxicating wine from a harlot in lieu of the truth, the oppression of the beast she rides circumventing our Republic, and the resultant company store masquerading as economic freedom. Because we have refused to love the truth, on every level, we have been blind, on every front, to our enemy's silent encroachment.

Now that the sleeper is awakening, we have some serious choices to make. To avoid escalating the war to violence, we must begin with personal housecleaning. Using the recent Continental Congress as an example, clearly we have some mental work to do. We must enter boot camp for the mind. Mental preparations must begin by exercising control of our thoughts, by sifting the personal delusions we harbor from the true facts and circumstances happening around us. We must recognize and discard the perceptions we all nurture, the filters through which we misinterpret reality, the stories we contrive to define the world around us, the personal dramas which to one degree or another are entrapping us.

We must learn to distinguish the Truth from our vain imaginations about the Truth. We must set aside our pride, acknowledge the deceit of our vain ego, and cease pretending. We must come to accept that there are things we, individually, simply don’t know; and further, things we don’t know that we don’t know. We must capture, as though it were an enemy infiltrator inside our head, every vain imagination we entertain about ourselves and others.

Only by doing this mental work can we begin our escape from the silent weapon controlling our minds, the matrix within which our minds are trapped! Only then can we see through the deceitful conversation within ourselves that we unconsciously and reflexively project onto ourselves and others, and onto the circumstances dictating our lives.

Our failure in our capacity as a power with which to be reckoned, our failure to exercise mental discipline, was more than evident at the recent Continental Congress. Ignoring the warning given by Washington in his Farewell Address, at least one faction was born of a misconstruction of the facts pertaining to the 14th Amendment committee and its reports. Rather than observing and assessing the facts in all their objective nakedness, stories were spun and added to the facts, and this most likely because of certain preconceived fears, notions, and judgments about the agenda adopted for the Continental Congress.

No matter the instigating force, concerns were projected onto the facts, which ultimately caused the mental embellishment of a story—the foundation of all factions. Certain individuals agreed on and bought into the spin, and adopted as true the ensuing conversation about “what happened.” Usually at least three conversations are derived from any set of facts. Version one (mine), version two(yours), and the truth(what actually happened).

Stories about the truth, as distinguished from the Truth, now orbit America’s cyber space and gather the support of those who ignorantly strengthen, justify and solidify their respective faction. As the orbit moves further away from it origin, the actual facts of the event, the stories penetrate and then permeate the minds of the weak and paranoid until the rift between the factions become as divisive to Americans as her Continental Divide is to her shores. It is through this faction that we who should be unified against a common enemy are being weakened and discouraged, strengthening the enemy and shoring up its resolve. Only united shall we stand. Divided we shall fall.

Because this battle ultimately will be won by our conversation, we must engage the enemy through working to set our minds free. Only then have we any chance, indeed any right, to set others free. We must abandon sham emotional arguments and prideful, self-centered, I-am-right-you-are-wrong style arguing. We must stop embellishing the facts by sharing the straight facts, sharing the law, without story, and telling, straight up, what the enemy fears most: the Truth.

To better communicate the Truth, let us begin by implementing the strategy of attacking the Beast by ignoring it, turning our backs on it, and starving it of our financial support. We already have said: No answers to our petitions, no taxes. Given its silence, the government has proved its long train of abuses and usurpations. The time for talk is over. We either stand together now united for America’s founding principles, or we stand alone later against our taskmasters.

Mustering the courage to turn our backs on that which purports to be government, we then may encourage others to do the same. The allegiance of those who sustain the Beast satiate its appetite. We must stop cooperating with those who seek to enslave, and start freeing the minds of those captured by the delusional labyrinth of perceptions. More than keeping our money, we must withdraw our support, our mental and physical allegiance. We must refuse its benefits, privileges, and entitlements.

This is our embargo. We need to muster the courage to do this embargo alone, together; and together, alone. Our embargo begins on a personal level, with an internal dialog with the Higher Power, the Creator, our Spiritual Mother and Father, our Counselor, Comforter, and King, through whom we must pledge our allegiance to the heavenly principalities and powers, the law of nature and of nature’s God, the de jure power to which all are subject, whether we like it or not.

What fools we would be to initiate an embargo against that upon which we are dependent for our survival before first establishing a means of support to fortify our position. I recommend and encourage that the subject matter of our dialog begin with being shown the proper means of severing our dependence on the corrupted systems of the world, and reestablishing our dependence on the infallible eternal principles of Virtue, Love, Honor, Respect, Integrity, Courage and Perseverance. Finally, for victory sake, I most highly recommend we each embody the Truth we most desire to see expressed in others.

We must come to understand the nature of the Beast, which is but a reflection, an image of thecollective dark side of humanity, a projection, the culmination of several generations who have been duped into turning their back on the Principles of Freedom. An artificial entity, a legal fiction established by conversation and convention, the Beast is animated by those who choose to embody its soul. Those who facilitate the will of the Beast merely delay its inevitable collapse. Established by the force of guns and jails, the will of the Beast, which has no de jure power, manifests itself through its continued abuse and usurpation of power. This creature is not government, but rather an impostor, and as such unfit to serve a free people. The 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence held, as a self-evident truth, that we have a duty to throw such off. In so doing we who stand up and fight to oppose the beast must be animated by the Spirit of the One who leads us. E pluribus Unum.

Were they alive today all 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence who held as a self evident truth that we have a duty to throw off a design evinced to reduce us under absolute despotism, would undoubtedly sanction our efforts. To this end I pray that we who oppose the beast not only embody, but together facilitate the Spirit of the One who leads us.

As One!

David Justice

I Have Seen the Enemy
May we not allow the enemy to define us.

May we define ourselves.

An enemy is at our gate, but they are mere vultures. They wait and circle patiently, anticipating that our destruction is near.

The enemy is within our gate, within our own ranks, even within our own being.

The enemy empowers those at the gate. Conquer the enemy and those at the gate will dissipate.

So long as there is jealousy, envy, strife and quarreling among us, enemies will wait at our borders to take us down.

No one can take from me, no one can take from us, what wasn’t given to them to take.

Election Day October 10
Citizens Rising in Defense of the Constitution
States prepare for coming Continental Congress
National Election Day October 10th
Colorado, October 5, 2009 – Citizens fed up with constitutional violations causing devastation to the economy and the Nation, are stepping up to join constitutional activist across this great country to prepare for a modern-day Continental Congress to take place November 9-22, 2009 in St. Charles, Illinois. Continental Congress 2009 is not political or partisan and seeks to defend, not amend, the current Constitution.
Many have asked, “What is the next appropriate step for the free people of America?” The constitutional answer is to hold this historic national assembly to inspire the critical mass necessary to restore constitutional governance. 153 citizen-nominated-and-elected Delegates – three from each state and Washington, D.C. -- will convene for two weeks to methodically and factually document constitutional abuses which have taken place over many years, across many administrations, every branch of government and both parties. Delegates will consider specific non-violent, legal civic actions to stop the wrong doings.
All nominees have a “proven passion for the Constitution.” You can view the delegates’ profiles by visiting www.givemeliberty.org and clicking on Colorado. Delegates will make their own way to Illinois, but room and board will be covered by donations contributed by We The People Foundation members.
Election Centers have been secured and Election Day will be held October 10, 2009. You can view all election centers by clicking on the CC2009: "WALK-IN" Election Locations link on your state’s home page. The election will be constitutionally valid using visible and transparent vote counting; an effort planner’s hope will eliminate the constitutionally invalid general electoral procedures currently in use. Where polling places are not available, a mail-in ballot process is being offered.
The decision to convene CC2009 comes after fourteen years of filing Petitions for Redress with the federal government for repeated violations of the Constitution by We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education, a national 501 c3 non-profit with headquarters in New York. The Right to petition was put in the First Amendment by the Founding Fathers, who did not want Americans to ever again experience a situation where their individual rights or civil liberties were threatened. To date, this Right has never been recognized by the government nor defined in any court of law. Robert L. Schulz, Chairman of We The People Foundation says it must now be used to hold elected officials accountable to the rest of the Constitution “which will shift the power from the government back to The People where it belongs.”
“Americans are waking up to the urgent need to stand strong for the Founding Principles and our Constitution, as every violation further devastates our economy and our way of life,” says Schulz. “We all desire the same outcome: restoration of our Nation. Continental Congress 2009 is the only strategy we see that is not political or partisan, does not rely on the electoral process, and can bring peaceful and legal solutions to our current situation.” We The People expect this effort to be the catalyst that brings the freedom-loving people of America together at this critical time.
Readers can learn more about We The People Congress and the Continental Congress 2009 by going to www.givemeliberty.org.

Montrose County Coordinator Betty Oglesby
We the People Congress of Colorado are proud to introduce Betty Oglesby, Montrose County Coordinator. Betty has stepped up at a time when clear vision and strong leadership are most needed in America.

Betty has greatly contributed to WTP efforts during the summer of 2009, by facilitating and coordinating the Western Slope booth project. Without her effort and support, the people on Colorado's Western slope would know little about We the People Congress.

A Colorado Western Slope native, Betty brings with her a history of proven leadership both as a business owner, activist and successful organizer.

Continental Congress 2009
We take for granted freedom of the press, freedom to peacefully assemble, to speak, and hold our religious beliefs. If any of these were stripped away, or encumbered, there would be widespread dissent.

Few know this simple truth: that these "first amendment rights," are neither government grants nor constitutional privileges; but are rather limitations on the power of the federal government. Note that the amendment reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting . . . prohibiting . . .abridging . . ."

Unbeknownst to many, is the Preamble to the Bill of Rights. It begins, "The conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added...." The so-called "Bill of Rights" was not intended to be a declaration of the peoples' rights. The Bill of Rights specifies limitations on the powers granted to the federal government by the Constitution.

It is fundamental political philosophy in America that the people are Sovereign, the Caesar, the King. America holds a unique position in the world because here government is established to serve the people. The Declaration of Independence, the foundation of American law, establishes the principle that the people have a right to abolish their government when it becomes destructive to the end for which it was established. This principle also is expressed in Art. 2 sec. II of the Colorado Constitution. The Declaration of Independence also requires that the people have a duty to throw off their government "when a long train of abuses and usurpations ... evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism."

It is a rule of law that the greater includes the lesser. A greater right includes a lesser right; a greater duty includes a lesser duty. Since the people have a right, nay, a duty to abolish, to throw off their government when it becomes destructive to the end for which it was established, the lesser right, the lesser duty, includes holding the government accountable. The government is an agent of the people. The Constitution is a grant of power. The people have a duty to hold their government to account. How is this duty exercised?

Another right is mentioned in the First Amendment to the federal constitution. This right also is mentioned in the Colorado Constitution: the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. This right, known as the "capstone right," provides the people an avenue to hold the government accountable, a means to check their servant when it gets out of line. The reason for the right to peaceably assemble is to discuss grievances against the government. Look at the First Amendment again: Congress shall make no law . . . abridging . . . the right of the people to peaceably assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Inherent in the right to petition for redress of grievances is the duty of the government to answer such petitions. The Magna Carta, where the right has its origin, declares that if such a petition goes unanswered after forty days, the people may seize the lands and possessions of the king until such time as the petition is answered. America's founding fathers petitioned King George for redress of grievances many times, all of which not only went unanswered, and were met with repeated injury. Finally, in 1776, the founders determined that the King's silence warranted a separation, and thus the Declaration of Independence was written.

About ten years ago, a group called We the People Congress was formed. This Congress petitioned the government for redress of grievances on constitutional issues such as: America's involvement in wars without declarations of war, the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, the Patriot Act, the North American Union, and the failure of the President to enforce the immigration laws - each an abuse of federal power. Despite many opportunities to respond, the government refused to answer our petitions.

So we sued the government, asking the court to direct the government to answer the petitions. The court ruled that the government has no obligation to respond. We appealed, the court of appeals upheld the ruling. The Supreme Court twice refused to hear the case.

On November 9, 2009, We the People Congress invites America to stand with us as we host this historical Continental Congress not to amend the Constitution, but to defend it. The Congress will convene for two weeks with three non-governmental delegates elected from each state to discuss what a free people are to do when their government turns against the people and holds the people's petitions for redress of grievances in contempt.

A national election for delegates to represent the people at the Continental Congress will be held October 10, 2009. Choose this Day
A year ago, a great fear of Bush chilled the speech of most liberals, independents and even a few conservatives. Now with the shoe on the other foot the extreme direction the Obama administration is moving chills the spines of most true republicans, independents and more than a few liberals.

Those who feared Bush cited the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the republican form of government guaranteed by the constitution to justify their concern. Now with Obama at the helm it is the opposition's turn to champion America's founding principles. How intriguing that party loyalists only champion founding principles when it is convenient or when they lose power. How sad for America that no matter the party, rudimentary principles are consistently shunned as inconvenient and cumbersome to the totalitarian political and financial agenda both Democrats and Republicans champion.

Clinton caused conservatives concern, and Bush Sr. caused liberals concern but only superficially as both represent different sides of the same coin. Hindsight being 20-20, it should now be more than obvious that no matter who holds the office, the federal government has been commandeered and transformed into the very beast it was established to protect us from. With but few exceptions, politicians have no interest in representing the American people, but rather their true constituents, the globalist financial gangsters. The whole wretched act is finally becoming obvious to those willing to see, while those unwilling are becoming increasingly dangerous to those of us blowing the whistle on the scam.

We the People Foundation and We the People Congress, sister organizations fighting to return the government to constitutional law and order say "ENOUGH!" To that end in St. Charles, Illinois on November 9, 2009, will be hosting a Continental Congress to discuss what Americans should do when their servant government refuses to honor and support the constitution, and to be accountable to the American people.

The Continental Congress will be comprised of three delegates from each state, passionate about the principles of constitutional law and order and the philosophy of the Declaration of Independence. A national election for delegates to represent the people at the Continental Congress will be held October 10, 2009. Bailouts, layoffs, foreclosures, social decay, family destruction and endless wars. Most don't know it but virtually every problem that America now suffers is the direct result of violations of the Constitution by our (servant) government.

Finally, there is hope. This November, publicly elected citizen-delegates representing the People of each state will convene at a national assembly known as "Continental Congress 2009." The purpose of this historic event is to formally document the violations and develop strategies the People can employ to peacefully resist tyranny and restore Constitutional Order.

It's time to hold our servant government accountable and reclaim the Light of Liberty. Learn more about CC2009 and the true power of Popular Sovereignty at www.GiveMeLiberty.org.

Why the Need for a Continental Congress?
What is a principal to do with a rogue agent?

I give you a power of attorney to represent me in a particular matter, and in my name you abuse or usurp that power! Should I not hold you accountable?

You represent yourself to the world to be acting in my behalf under my power of attorney. In this capacity you claim to be exercising power I granted to you. Using my resources and credit as collateral, you bind both my children and me to financial obligations not authorized by me; obligations beyond the scope of powers granted by the power of attorney. I become angry, remain silent and do nothing. Would not my failure to hold you accountable, to bring charges against you for exercising power outside the scope of the power I granted you, be construed as my consent to the obligations? Would not my failure to distinguish my power delegated, from your crime against me, appear to give presumptive validation to otherwise invalid obligations?

I write you and call you to account. You remain silent. I write you a second and a third time, demanding that you answer me relative to your transgression. You continue to remain silent. I have you served with a grievance naming your long train of abuses and usurpations against me and demand you appear before me to give me an account, but you continue to refuse. I bring a lawsuit against you. Rather than hear my complaint, the court defends you, summarily dismissing the complaint, telling me you are not accountable to me. The merits of my claim are not even heard. The appellate court upholds the judgment of the lower court. The Supreme Court tells me they are uninterested in hearing such a trivial matter.

This is the exact circumstance the American People are confronted with relative to their government. The Constitution is in essence no different than any other power of attorney, giving government the right to exercise limited power to act in behalf of the American States, the Sovereign People. Not unlike a rogue agent performing in our behalf beyond the scope of power delegated under a power of attorney, it is our position that professional politicians and bureaucrats have exercised federal power not granted by the constitution, and that such exercise is what in law is deemed an "ultra vires" act and void. Desiring to avoid the appearance of consent to these unconstitutional governmental acts, grievances were served upon the appropriate politicians and bureaucrats as petitions for redress, which to this day remain unanswered. Adequate demands were made and opportunities to respond were provided. Silence has been the only answer received. The federal judiciary, properly petitioned, chose not to hear the merits of the grievances, instead defending the governmental acts via the sophistry of judicial manipulation of words and concepts to contrive conclusions circumventing truth for the sake of political expediency.

This is why the need for Continental Congress 2009.

In order to fully grasp the need for Continental Congress 2009 we must, among other things, distinguish between it and a "constitutional convention." Simply put, the latter, a "Con-con," is where unaccountable, professional politicians could come together under the constitution to sanction the powers of government they have usurped and now control. Were this to happen, politicians, under the guise of political expediency, could potentially re-write, even suspend the original intent and powers of the constitution in such a way as to altogether avoid accountability. If not answerable to the American People now, how much less accountable might politicians be were they to negate responsibility altogether through the contrivance of a constitutional convention. In contrast, Continental Congress 2009 is an assembly of statesmen, delegates appointed from among the Sovereign People of the fifty American states coming together to hear and resolve specific constitutional grievances against rogue politicians and bureaucrats.

The intent behind Continental Congress 2009 is to bring together an assembly, not of professional politicians, but of learned statesmen who understand the principles of the Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen united States of America, who understand the principles and intent underlying the Constitution for the United States of America, who understand that in America, sovereignty is vested in and derived from the People, and who understand that the original intent of the constitution is to grant limited powers to a government created to serve the American States and the American People.

Finally, the intent of Continental Congress 2009 is to invoke the principles of the Declaration of Independence as the interpretive foundation of American government, and in so doing to use the Constitution for the United States of America as originally intended, as the standard, the measuring rod of power delegated to the federal government. What could be construed as analogous to a grand jury, the statesmen of the Continental Congress 2009 will hear facts and law and juxtapose them to the powers granted in the constitution to determine whether there has been abuse or usurpation of the constitutional delegation, thereafter rendering finding of facts and conclusions of law on the matters presented. Thereafter resolutions will be passed concerning the matters heard, including recommendations to the States and the American People as to appropriate action to be taken.

Bob Schulz will once again be in Colorado Springs on June 8 at the City Auditorium Lon Chaney Theater to speak relative to the principles calling us to invoke our power as Sovereign and holding rogue politicians and bureaucrats to account. The evening event will commence at approximately 6:00 PM. Also speaking at the event will be several powerful guests and the potential delegates to the Continental Congress.

Please plan on attending if for nothing more than a show of support relative to the importance of the impact of Continental Congress 2009.

David Justice, Activist American/Patriot

David is the Colorado Colorado State Coordinator for the WTP Congress.

He makes his home near Gunnison, Colorado, with his wife of 24 years, and four boys, ages 21, 17, 15 and 13. He has been involved with Bob Schulz and the We the People Congress for the last ten years.

A philosopher and scholar of constitutional studies, David is well learned in the law, political science, and principles of American Jurisprudence, and particularly constitutional and administrative law, with his heaviest emphasis being on the philosophy and principles of John Locke and Francis Bacon, and America's anti-federalist founding father Thomas Jefferson.

David has been a successful entrepreneur and staunch Patriot activist since the mid-eighties. He was co-founder and president of the several retail framing stores in front range malls. Having financial success, he left the business world in the early nineties to dedicate his life to the full time study of law. Though primarily home educated he received a paralegal certificate from the University of Northern Colorado in 1994. David has done the legal research and prepared and written many legal pleadings and memoranda for cases pertaining to licensing as well as the federal income tax and other Constitutional questions concerning life, liberty and property. He has performed educational seminars about the principles of constitutional law and American jurisprudence, and is an accomplished public speaker.

David took an oath to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic prior to doing a term in the the United States Coast Guard, serving in the capacity of a flight engineer and aircraft electrician. He was first introduced to the freedom/sovereignty movement in 1983 while contracting his engineering and electrical skills to the United States Air Force.

Beginning in 1989, David surrendered his social security benefit by rescinded his signature on his social security application and intentionally allowed the benefit of his driver license to expire. Being motivated to acquire first hand the knowledge and experience of existing in America as a free man without papers, he traveled extensively for the next thirteen years without the government privilege. During this time he became familiar with administrative, commercial and maritime law and adept at courtroom procedure. He has been directly involved in seven jury trials. Always non-violent in his approach, David has been arrested on more than one occasion has served some jail time in jail for his direct activism.

David agrees with the principles of the Declaration of Independence: that everyone is equal; The People are one Sovereign Body Politic; the government is not sovereign, but is rather established to serve the People; a delegation of power from the people to the government is
expressed through the Constitution; the constitution governs government, not the people; government agents are bound to obey the constitution; when government agents violate the constitution, the act is void; that when government agents deliberately violate their oath
of office to support and defend the constitution, they are unworthy to hold any public office and should be recalled or impeached; when government agents act in concert and deliberately circumvent the constitution, they are committing a crime; the people have the right to alter and abolish their constitution and form of government when they deem it necessary; That when a long train of abuses pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce the people under absolute despotism, the people have a duty to throw off the government.

"The greater duty includes the lesser. The obligation to be answered when a petition for redress of grievance is tendered is compulsory. The Continental Congress is the next peaceful means available to us to call the servant government to account. Loss, Defeat and Failure are not options. Yes we can, and we will." David Justice

OK, WHAT DO I DO NOW??
If you are a new Regular Member or a new Coordinator the awesome first question is “now what”?

First and foremost do not wait for any other person’s “permission”. You now have full permission! We all do.

We know that Bob Schulz in good lawyer-like fashion enjoins us to follow the philosophy of ACTA NON VERBA, or in language the rest of us use “Deeds, Not Words.” All of us are caught up in this massive citizen reaction to the increasingly obvious trampling of our Constitution by our so-called “Leaders”.

We are all naturally inclined to “verbalize” and to “emote.” It is completely natural. And I, probably like yourself, was caught up initially in “venting”, with words-words-words. (in my case to the ho-hum degree … I was starting to bore even myself.)

But there comes a time, doesn’t there?, when you realize that it is “just words” and nothing is going to happen out of that! So, you want to “do something.”

Thanks to Bob Schulz and the We The People Congress (as of January 29, totaling 89,081, Colorado making up nearly a thousand of that) we have a path to walk upon that should lead us to a good place, and without violence too, unless, of course, violence at some point is thrust upon us. Let’s deal with that when and if we must. For now we need the path that makes sense to walk upon, and we have one, a good one, with WTP.

So, as I came to terms with this “volunteer” thing, I discovered a few things that make life a whole lot easier.

We now have four distinct tasks or MISSIONS as stated explicitly by Bob in every meeting that he is having, and is still having across this country. Namely:

OUTREACH

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

FUNDING THE COLORADO DELEGATION

REGULAR MEMBERS

As I contemplated this challenge I realized that certainly not all of these missions have been converted to “ACTA”. And that is the challenge now.

We are all, in a sense, independent agents, and as volunteers we can create our own approaches, and our own actions. Hopefully these will be in concert, and result in mission accomplishment.

For starters I realized that I needed some “talking points’ to use for my OUTREACH mission. In my case I talk to people, and I participate by “posting” to other groups. (And I pray a lot!) Well, guess what?, Bob has provided those talking points you need very explicitly. You do not have to make up your own speech. If you will locate the "Summit Call" link on the Convention Updates Page at the WTP main site -- http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/default.htm#latestnews -- you will find that it is the “perfect” short speech outline! It is short, it is sweet, and it underscores exactly what the “problem” is. So, I am using that to be my own “talking points” for group speaking.

Apart from what is on that page I also insert some of my own personal experiences of being basically “beaten up” by all these “departures from the rules” and Constitutional Violations. Believe me, when you look at it, this has beaten EVERYONE up. That leads to the WTP regular memberships, and then I also create an opportunity for others who are listening to participate by expressing themselves and their hot buttons.

By just doing this much, I expect for every talk any one of us gives REGULAR MEMBERS will continue to emerge. Dependable “self-motivated” regulars. Fellow Patriots and fighters. So there you have OUTREACH and REGULAR MEMBERS missions being accomplished.

As for NOMINATING COMMITTEE and FUNDING THE COLORADO DELEGATION we are still looking around at what we really need to do. I think Bob is as well, and as we go along these missions will evolve their own methods. For now the nominee process is open and available to everyone at the WTP site.

As for right now, this very day! …Getting out there – Outreach - promotes Regular Membership, and that is the kind of membership that gives real muscle to the national efforts. And don’t let membership in WTP stop you from participating with the patriot groups of your choice whose issues are closest to your heart. Bob Schulz makes the point that we at WTP do not dabble in “Politics”. Our focus is entirely upon conformance to the Constitution. But that doesn’t means we are not individually political, and that is what makes the horse race, isn’t it? But for WTP we keep the light on the Constitution that protects us all. (Or, was supposed to anyway before all this stuff happened.)

OUTREACH (and you can use the Summit Call as written to do that), and

REGULAR MEMBERS (hopefully the direct result of our OUTREACH.

WTP is still a developing and fluid thing. Do get jiggly with all this, and let me know if I can help you directly.
