Still No Answers for Rose Lear
“It’s Up to The People to Save Me”

Tuesday, April 2nd marked the end of the fourth week Rose Lear of
Muskegon, Michigan has gone without food in an attempt to force the U.S.
Government to answer hundreds of specific legal questions about U.S. income
tax laws.
Lear, 52, is determined
to get the answers that, to date, no official of the U.S. government will
answer. Her husband, William Lear, was convicted late last year of “Willful
Failure to File” in a trial involving a legally dubious indictment and a
questionable prosecution that appear to have violated the protections of
(his) due process rights.
In her
latest press
release (dated 3/31) Rose Lear states, “To secure Peace and
eliminate the people’s fear of Government, to secure the First Amendment
Rights of the people to confront their government by non-violent means, to
secure all that America was to hold as sacred, I will risk and give my
life.”
When
contacted at her hotel in DC this afternoon, Lear stated that the People –
all the People – “deserve an answer -- for all their questions.” Rose also
stated that the responsibility for her death, should it come to that, must
be shared by the “People” – for it is they that have lost control of the
government to the extent that it now can ignore a dying woman asking
questions about the laws of this nation.
She
pleaded with everyone to keep pressure on their Congressmen and their staffs
both in DC and at their local state offices. She continued that it was
ultimately “the People” that would have to save her. She continued, “We
will get all the issues on the table and get all the answers.” Lear
is insistent that the questions of law be answered under a sworn oath, just
as citizens are apparently required to do on their tax forms.
She
was in good spirits, but her voice was clearly weak. She was not able to
make it to Capitol Hill today as she has planned to do each day during her
fast. Concerning her physical condition, Lear remarked that her “body is
falling apart” and that she was “pushing it beyond what was intended”. She
also reported new and potentially serious medical complications. She
admitted she was “clearly on the downgrade.”
On
Wednesday morning (4/3), Lear will be the guest on a 2-hour talk radio show
from Chicago on WBIG 1280. Everyone is urged to not only listen to the
live broadcast over the internet, but to attempt to contact their
Congressman live during the show.

People has just released the second installment in the “LIBERTY HOUR with
Bob Schulz” video series. The video was taken last week when Rose Lear
visited her House representative, Rep. Peter Hoekstra on Capitol Hill. The
tape details Rose’s review of documentation formally serving her Petitions
and her personal demands that the Congressman answer her questions. The
last part of the video provides a brief overview of “Operation Stop
Withholding” where WTP is urging all workers and companies to stop
withholding because it is NOT required under US law and because the Right to
withhold money from the government pending redress of grievances is a
fundamental Right guaranteed by the First Amendment .
